Specifications Summary

Memory

The DS2450 has 32 memory bytes:

1st 8 bytes(0000-0007)

Conversion read-out. 2 Bytes per channel MS bit first. eg 0000 and 0001 for Channel A

2nd 8 bytes(0008-000F)

Control status/data bytes, 2 per channel. 2 Bytes per channel. eg 0008 and 0009 for Channel A

3rd 8 bytes(0010-0017)

Alarm settings

4th 8 bytes(0018-001F)

Factory calibration. Byte 1C can be set to 40 hex if Vcc powered.

Memory functions

Read memory (AAh)

Command byte = AA, 2 Memory bytes(eg 0700), x High bytes=FF

Puts memory address contents and subsequent memory contents for as long as the high bytes and memory range continues.

Write memory (55h)

Command byte = 55, 2 Memory bytes(eg 0700), 3 High bytes=FF

Conversion command (3Ch)

Command byte=3C, 1 Input select byte, 1 Read-out control byte, High Bytes for conversion
